What is the difference between static and dynamic Gates?

Static Gates are fixed slots in the HUB layout (936 × 1024) and automatically add a ramp when you link out. Dynamic Gates can be placed anywhere in the room, resized freely (2:1 default), and behave like portable canvases for immersive layouts.

How do I place or cancel a dynamic Gate?
  1. Click the Action button in the lower-right corner.
  2. Select Gate from the submenu to grab a dynamic Gate.
  3. Click inside the Space to place it; use the gizmo handles to adjust.
  4. Right-click before placing if you want to cancel the operation.

How do I change the description of my Gate?

To edit a Gate, go to the relevant Gate and click the icon to open the Gate editing interface. Inside, you’ll find a text field titled description, where you can update the Gate's details.

Is it possible to add video and images to a gate? I want to add a YouTube video plus an image where I can click through.

Yes, it’s definitely possible to display both the YouTube video and an image in one gate!
Here’s the best way to do it:

  1. First, add the YouTube video.
  2. Once it’s added, open the Gate Edit UI and click on the icon next to the Screen input field.

How to delete a dynamic Gate?

If the Gate was placed by you, you’ll see three buttons outside the interface: , , and . To remove the Gate, simply click .

I've linked to another Space but now my Gate is empty - why?

The linked Space was probably deleted, therefore no preview exists anymore.

Is there a possibility to erase the frame?

Yes, you can remove the border/frame of a dynamic Gate, but only as Pro customer.

Is there a way to zoom in on a PDF or image?

There’s no dedicated zoom function, but you can use 1st Person Mode to get a closer view of the content. See here for more details.

Is it possible to upload multiple formats to one Gate?

Yes, you can upload multiple formats to a single Gate. Simply select all the desired files (e.g., PNG, video, PDF) and upload them together. Just be mindful of the difference between the Link and Screen options. See here for more details.

Can I synchronize a video or PDF?

Yes, you can check the synchronize view option inside Gate Edit UI.

What is a "Web Stream"? Do I need to synchronize it?

A Web Stream uses Hyperbeam, enabling real-time, continuous data transmission. It works like a virtual browser where you can watch videos, browse websites, or collaborate on activities in real time with others, even from different locations. There’s no need to synchronize it—it’s already synchronized by default.

How can I share a specific post from my Instagram profile?

I tried to use link XY, but I can't select anything. What can I do?

Try the following options:

  1. Set the link as Screen and activate Web Proxy.
  2. Use the Web Stream option and paste the link in the Screen field.
  3. Use a screenshot and place the link inside the Link field without selecting anything.
Which file formats can I display inside a Gate?

Static Gates support everything the HUB can show, including Gaussian splats (.ply, .spz, .splat) and meshes (.glb). Both static and dynamic Gates can host videos (.mp4, .mov), images (.png, .jpg, .gif), documents (.pdf, .pptx), custom HTML, other Spaces, and standard website links (as long as the site allows embedding).

How can I reopen the Edit Gate UI for a dynamic Gate?

You have two shortcuts:

  • Open the Content List, find the Gate entry, and click it.
  • Open the Space Edit UI and click the floating button that appears next to the Gate.

Either path reopens the editor so you can update media, links, or settings.
