Recommended Browsers for the Best Experience: For best performance, use the Google Chrome browser or alternatively any Chromium-based browser such as Edge, Opera, etc.

1. Microphone Permission Request

Before using the microphone for the first time, a prompt will appear asking for permission. Once granted, a small microphone icon appears near the browser’s address bar. By clicking on it, you can review the exact permissions you’ve allowed. Sometimes you have to reload the browser for the permissions to take effect.

Microphone permission request not appearing

If this request does not appear, it usually means that your system settings are restricting microphone access. Please check your system’s privacy settings and ensure that microphone access is enabled. On mobile devices, these settings are often found within the browser app itself. Locate the app in your settings and adjust the necessary permissions there. If the request is still missing, your browser is blocking pop-ups. In this case, check your browser settings and make sure that pop-ups are not being blocked.

2. Start recording / speaking

Once you’ve granted the necessary permissions, you can start recording a Voicey or join a group chat.

In a group chat, speaker icons appear above avatars - yellow means the person is speaking, while white indicates they are silent.

For Voicey's, it's best to do a quick test recording first. Try saying “Hello” three times, then listen to the playback to ensure everything is working properly.

Can't hear anything

First check your volume settings.

Next, try entering this Space to see if you can hear the intro which is "Arrival.Space". If there is still no sound, your device don't have granted sound permissions yet. Go to your system or app settings to adjust these permissions accordingly.

If you're using headphones, you need to manually switch the audio output to them. The process varies depending on your operating system, device, and browser.

Additionally, check if you’ve accidentally muted the browser tab. In some browsers, a small speaker icon appears next to the tab, indicating whether sound is muted.

3. Voice Chat Disruptions & Performance Considerations

Arrival.Space relies significantly on your device’s processing power, as we perform many calculations directly on your end device. Don’t worry - we only use what is necessary, following modern best practices to maximize performance.

Because Arrival.Space operates with this technology, results vary between creators. Some experience no microphone or sound issues in a group chat, while others encounter difficulties. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend using a Sweet Spots, which define optimal group sizes: 25 - 30 Creators

Optimizing Performance for a Stable Experience

If you experience interruptions, try plugging in your device whenever possible. On Windows, full performance mode is sometimes only enabled when the device is connected to power.

Additionally, check your performance settings—switching to maximum power mode can significantly improve stability in large group chats. Keep in mind that a restart is required for these changes to take effect.

If issues persist, check your internet connection, as instability can also cause disruptions.
