Performance
Optimizing your experience starts with the right setup. In this section, you'll find recommendations to ensure smooth and responsive interaction within the 3D environment.
We’ll guide you through ideal browser choices, device settings, and in-platform performance options to help you get the best visual quality without sacrificing speed. Whether you're aiming for high fidelity or fast loading times, this section gives you the tools to find your perfect balance.
Let’s fine-tune your setup for a seamless and immersive experience.
Recommended Browser
For best performance, use the Google Chrome browser or alternatively any Chromium-based browser such as Edge, Opera, etc.
Recommended Device Settings
To get the best performance, it's important to adjust your device settings for 3D content. This section covers key tips for optimizing your system, like enabling hardware acceleration and closing background apps. A few small tweaks can make a big difference in speed and stability.
Windows
Open your settings and search for your microphone privacy settings. Enable the toggle for the Section Let apps access your microphone. Scroll down to the Section Let desktop apps access your microphone and enable the toggle again. Your browser appears inside this list.
Search for Sound inside the settings and clarify that you have the right output and input sound device.
Search inside the Settings search bar for power & battery. In the Section Power Mode change the mode to best performance.
Android
Open your settings and search for your browser app. Make sure that the authorizations for microphone and sound are enabled.
In addition to that make sure that pop-up's are enabled inside the app. Depending on the Android device, there is a global setting that blocks pop-ups in general or individually for the apps.
Further unmute your phone, to be sure that you can hear something.
iOS
Enter your settings and search for your used Browser app. Disable the option block pop-ups. Scroll down to the Section Settings for websites and set the microphone permissions to "ask" or "allow". To make sure your sound works unmute your phone.
Graphic Settings
SettingsYou can find your Graphic Settings and change them inside Arrival.Space. You can find these settings inside the Side panel. Use the Burger Menu on the top right to open it. The Settings Button is the last button before the search bar.

1Post effects
Post effects refer to audio or visual modifications applied after the initial rendering of images, or video. These effects enhance, modify, or correct the original material to achieve an improved visual quality and atmosphere. This effect is essential in virtual reality to deliver high-quality, immersive experiences.
2Audio reverb
When a sound is produced in a Space, it doesn’t just travel directly to our ears. Instead, it bounces off multiple surfaces before reaching us, with each reflection slightly delayed and altered in intensity. This creates a sense of spatial depth and immersion, making sounds feel more natural and atmospheric. Audio reverb can make audio sound natural and immersive.
3Retina resolution
Retina resolution refers to a display technology, where the pixel density is so high that the human eye cannot distinguish individual pixels at a normal viewing distance. This results in sharper text, smoother graphics, and more detailed images.
4HTML Gates
HTML Gates refer to all Gates containing web links. This setting does not affect embedded websites (iframes). When this option is enabled, web links are loaded as soon as you enter the Space. If disabled, websites begin loading only after clicking the play overlay. In other words, enabling this option allows websites to preload, while disabling it prevents preloading.
5Real-time Shadows
Real-time Shadows refer to shadows that are dynamically generated and updated in real-time as the scene changes, based on the position of light sources and objects within the environment. Unlike pre-rendered shadows, which are fixed and do not change, real-time shadows are calculated and adjusted continuously during runtime. This allows for more realistic and interactive lighting effects in 3D environments, such as video games or simulations.
This option is automatically disabled once if the performance of the device is insufficient.
6Battery Saver
The Battery Saver helps you saving battery if you idle. That means as soon as you stop moving it can save up to 90%.
