In addition, you can add animations to VRM Avatars. For more information about animations, see the [Animations](https://codex.arrival.space/claim/avatar/animations) section. VRM Avatars can also be used across other platforms. However, complications may occur since not every rig (a digital skeleton for a model) is built the same way, and different model materials may require different lighting setups. If you have a model that does not work as expected, please contact us at hello@arrival.space. In the next section, we will cover VRoid in brief, since it is a free VRM editor. ## VRoid VRoid Studio is a free application for creating 3D models and fine-tuning every detail. You can either start from scratch or modify an existing Avatar. ### Prerequisites [VRoid Studio](https://vroid.com/en/studio) First you have to **download the application** to your device, because there is no in-browser studio (use the link "Vroid Studio"). It’s up to you whether you adapt every last detail or not — just don’t forget to **save your avatar** both as a **project file** and as a **VRM**. Otherwise, you might not be able to continue editing later. ### Creating VRoid Models Once you have downloaded and opened the program, you will see a screen similar to the example image. Use the New Button to start with a blank model, the Open Button to import existing VRoid projects, or select a... At the top , you will find two options: - **Line up** – Adjust the rig to match your Splat. - **Animate** – Assign animations to your Splat. Adjusting the provided skeleton to match your Splat consists of two steps: 1. 2D rough alignment 2. 3D fine alignment ### 2D Rough Alignment The front view is on the left, and the side view is on the right. Both views show a human-shaped guide with adjustable points. Use these points to match the guide to your Splat. In the front view, move the points sideways, to the left or right. In the side view, move the shape forward or backward. You can also change the rotation of your Splat at the bottom. Click the **Next** button to continue to the next step, _Animate_. ### 3D Fine Alignment This view shows a single, zoomed-in view of the body shape. The skeleton is more precisely defined and provides additional points for fine-tuning. Use the left mouse button to rotate around your Splat. Use the right mouse button to move your Splat further to the left or right. You can also fine-tune the tilt of the individual movable points. Click the **Next** button to continue to the next step, _Animate_. ## Animations You can find animations in the [Animate Your Splat Avatar](https://codex.arrival.space/claim/avatar/animations#animate-your-splat-avatar)... [Read more](https://codex.arrival.space/claim/avatar/splat-avatar) --- # Animations URL: https://codex.arrival.space/claim/avatar/animations You can add animations to your VRM Model. For this, you need special 3D character animations – usually in `.fbx` format. It is recommended to download your Avatar as GLB and upload it to the platform of your choice. This ensures that your selected animations fit your model correctly. If you do not use your own skin, animations may sometimes look odd. ## Mixamo [Mixamo Animations](https://www.mixamo.com/) Mixamo is a free platform by Adobe. You do not need an Adobe license to use it — you only need to register. Use the link above to access the Mixamo page. On the site, you will find a Sign Up option in the top-right corner. Follow the steps to create your account. ### Download Animations Once you are logged in, switch to the Animations tab at the top. You will see countless animations available. Use the Search Field to find specific animations. After selecting an animation, you can download it using the Download Button. If the animation moves the character away from the starting position, it may look strange inside Arrival.Space, since the Avatar is always reset to the origin point. If you still want to use such animations, please enable **In Place** (if available). This way, the animation will play on the spot. #### Download Settings In the Download Settings, make sure to export the animation **without Skin** if you have not uploaded your own Avatar. It is also recommended to reduce the **Frames per Second (FPS)** to **24** (or alternatively 30). Using... Otherwise, you can use the Screen to display content that is separate from the linked destination. ### Multiple Screens You can display **multiple** content items within a single Screen. For example, you can upload a PNG image and a PowerPoint presentation. When multiple items are present, navigation arrows will appear next to the Gate, allowing creators to switch between the different content. [Change Position] Each screen element can be moved. Simply click and hold the entry, then drag it to the desired position. A white line will appear to indicate where the content will be inserted. Both offer unique ways to visualize and interact with 3D environments, but they differ in structure and application. This section introduces the basics of meshes and splats, helping you understand the differences and how they can be created using various programs. Whether you're looking to **scan real-world objects** or create **stunning 3D environments**, these tools provide the necessary functionality to bring your ideas to life. ## Mesh based format A mesh is a structured representation of a 3D object composed of vertices (points in space), edges (lines connecting the points), and faces/polygons (usually triangles or quadrilaterals that form surfaces). These elements work together to define the object's shape, surface details, and geometry. ### Example: Meshes You can compare meshes with knitting: - **Vertices** = stitches Each stitch in knitting is like a point (vertex) in the mesh. It lies in a specific position and connects to other stitches. - **Edges** = threads between stitches The threads that connect the stitches are like the edges in the mesh. They hold the structure together. - **Faces** = pieces of fabric When several stitches are linked together, a face of fabric is created - like a face of edges in mesh. **In detail:** Imagine you are knitting a small potholder square: - You start with a row of stitches (vertices). - You knit row... Pull a space into a local workspace, edit its room configuration, entities, plugins, and assets with your preferred tools, validate the changes on the server, and push them back to the live space. It provides a streamlined local workflow for collaborating with your preferred AI agent, reviewing changes, and uploading them to your live Space. The CLI uses the same materialize, validate, and sync-back workflow as the in-app space agent. It does not use AI and does not provide live hot reload. The CLI source code is available in the [Arrival plugins repository](https://github.com/arrival-space/arrival-plugins/tree/main/tools/arrival-cli). ### Example agent prompt Give an AI coding agent this prompt and it can set itself up from this page: ```text Please set yourself up to use the arrival CLI: https://codex.arrival.space/api/cli ``` The CLI is a space-as-code workflow. A pulled workspace can be committed to Git, reviewed like any other project, and restored or shared using normal version-control workflows. ## Requirements - Node.js 18 or newer - An Arrival.Space account with permission to edit the target space - A browser for the OAuth login flow ## Installation Clone the Arrival plugins repository, then install the CLI dependencies: ```bash git clone https://github.com/arrival-space/arrival-plugins.git cd arrival-plugins/tools/arrival-cli...
